Greetings from SATHYA...
We are notifying you of an urgent action required. To continue sending SMS messages to destinations in India using CuteSMS24, it is critical that your message content exactly match the message template you registered in the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) portal. In addition, the Sender ID you send with must exactly match the Sender ID you registered in the DLT portal for each message template. Failure to do so will result in blocked messages by carriers in India starting March 15, 2021.
We reached out on March 3, 2021 regarding a DLT template enforcement date of March 8, 2021. At midnight IST March 8, 2021 and lasting for 24 hours, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) began enforcement of DLT and blocked all messages not in compliance. Due to large quantities of the blocked messages, the TRIA temporarily suspended template enforcement for 7 days to allow time for senders to validate their SMS message content against DLT registered templates. Template validation enforcement will resume March 15, 2021, midnight IST.
Some best practices to avoid carriers blocking messages are as follows:
1. CuteSMS24 now supports submitting the template IDs when using the Send Message API in the TemplateID fields. This avoids potential downstream issues with template ID mapping to the content you're sending. This allows you to fully control and manage the mapping of your content to template IDs and does not require you to submit template files to SATHYA for processing.

2. Message content sent through CuteSMS24 must match DLT registered templates exactly. For example, using additional character returns, spaces, punctuation, or mismatched casing, will result in carriers blocking your SMS.
3. A single variable, for example: {#var#}, within a template cannot exceed 30 characters.
Examples of commonly found issues:
- Content sent: <#> 12345 is your OTP to verify your mobile number. Your OTP is valid for 15 minutes -- ABC Pvt. Ltd. Matched template: None Issue: There are no DLT templates that include "<#>" or {#var#} at the beginning of the DLT registered template.
- Content sent: 12345 is your OTP code for ABC (ABC Company - India Private Limited) - (ABC 123456789). Share with your agent only. - ABC Pvt. Ltd. Matched template: {#var#} is your OTP code for {#var#} ({#var#}) - ({#var#} {#var#}). Share with your agent only. - ABC Pvt. Ltd. Issue: The value of "ABC Company - India Private Limited" in the content sent exceeds a single {#var#} character limit of 30.
- ABC PVT. LTD. Issue: The company name appended to the DLT matched template is capitalized while the content sent has some lowercasing - "ABC Pvt. Ltd." vs. "ABC PVT. LTD."
